Brad Swan - Founder

Born in St. Paul, MN, Brad Swan was raised in the wooded hills of Afton. Growing up in the quiet St. Croix River valley, he had a love of the outdoors from, which gave him the secluded space for study. This grew to a passion for science and knowledge, which led him to obtain an undergraduate degree at Drake University. After working in industry in Minnesota, Brad worked in academia at Drake University, but decided that his calling toward learning was his calling. Brad started at Iowa State University for his graduate degrees, where he found his calling toward entrepreneurship.

While obtaining his Ph.D., Brad was awarded the Outstanding Poster award from the ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry. The research done during this time began to unfold into the idea of a company whose purpose extends beyond its products. He began founding Cygnet DreamForge as a way to ensure a bright future for his wife and children, and as an homage to his upbringing, specifically his grandfather, Dick Swan, from whom the name Cygnet originated.
